I need to know what memory speeds I am looking at. realistically. on Asus's page it has not been updated for the 3rd gen ryzen chips memory support. but 2nd gen is states 3600mhz oc for second gen.

is it possible to hit 4600mhz on a x370-i or am I going to have to make a motherboard upgrade to achieve this.

what speeds are people getting out there if you have upgraded to 3rd gen on a x-370 chip set?

what do you want 4600Mhz for?

returns are dimminishing at some point and for the price tag of 4600MHz Ram you can probably just grab a 3900X instead of the 3700X. there's only a handful of applications where 4600MHz actually performs better than 3600Mhz

X370 MBs have problem with memory routing, even 3600Mhz could be tight. Best frequency for 3rd gen Ryzen is 3600MHz anyway, over 3733MHz memory multiplier goes from 1:1 to 1:2 and memory latency goes higher making only few applications that may benefit.
