I haven't upgraded my BIOS since version 4204 (late 2018) came out, I just didn't need to really, since I've got a 2700X installed. I see there's a new version out now 5601, that states:

PRIME X470-PRO BIOS 5601
"Improve system performance
Improve DRAM stability
Improve system stability
Improve system compatibility
Fixed AI suite 3 issue
Update AM4 AGESA to 1006
Fixed HDMI and DP sound issue"

Is it worth it? and will it upgrade ok from such an old version?

cheers!

If everything is working well and you are not updating any parts I'd continue with the current bios that you are using.

If you do update the bios though, insure that your power is stable, note that ASUS strongly recommends that you update AMD chipset driver 18.50.16 or later before updating BIOS, and use EZFlash to update.
