asus x501a cooling problem

i have "asus x501a". when it overheated system cooled itself or did restart but now it overheats in 30 minutes and shuts down. what can be the problem?

First tip, stop using it. If it's overheating and you're still playing with it, it might fry the components. Second, check if it's still in warranty. If it is, great! Send it back to where you bought it and get it sorted out (back up your data first though). If not, you could attempt to open the laptop up and blow out the fan/make sure it's still working. I'm sure you could probably find a replacement one online somewhere.
