Hi everyone, I have an Asus X53SC-SX041V laptop with an I7 2670QM processor and with a dedicated Nvidia GT520MX(I run games with this card). According to a game system requirement site, it should run cs:go just fine over 60fps in HD with low settings. But it has huge drops, it sometimes goes above 60 and then down to even 15 sometimes. It's mostly between 20-40, it's terrible. I read that cpu is most likely throttling and it's just an over-protective feature caused by Speedstep and I just have to disable it in bios. I measured temps while playing and the max was 85 I guess. The problem is that I don't need to wait for the lag, without the cpu heating up too much, as I start playing it already has low fps.
What do you think, is there a way to disable this speedstep? I tried it in bios but I couldn't find an option like that, at all. I couldn't even find cpu settings. I also tried to set the minimum processor usage to 100% in windows' power management settings but it still drops :/
