[SOLVED] Asus X540MA RAM Upgrade

Good day!

It is possible to upgrade the Memory (RAM) of my laptop if there is no slots available for the current RAM is soldered? Will a board level upgrade could fail?

Unforunately, the soldered RAM is only 4GB at 2400 MHz.

Theres no other way than ugprade the motherboard. you need mainboard model for that, disassembly needed there is for example 8gb models sold in aliexpress. However These have fairly weak cpu, idk if you can even use more than 4gb ram efficiently with n3150 celeron

Found one with n3700 but even that is weak, you need to check mainbord compatibility (where ports are etc) : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32957709298.html?

For this price i would consider just getting new or used laptop. Unless you find one for less than 50$

I have a N5000 Pentium Silver processor sir, with 4GB DDR4L RAM.

So basically these mainboards would be huge downgrade for the CPU, unless you find one with better cpu + 8gb ram dont buy.
