Asus X540NA how to boot from USB

I recently purchased an ASUS laptop (comes with freedos) with the intention of installing windows 8.1 from a usb drive. The problem is that in the bios interface, the usb drive is shown under "usb port", but its not available as a bootable option, i only have Endless OS and UEFI OS, both of which boot into Freedos. I've disabled fastboot and secure boot but there is no option for legacy support or CSM. The bios version is 301, if that helps.

I fixed it, the problem was with using windows usb download to make my bootable usb, I used YUMI UEFI instead and now its all good.
