Hi,
Thanks For Stopping By.I Usually Answer Questions On Here Its The First Time Im Asking For Help.
I Bought my brother an ASUS X553MA Laptop(He Is 7) So it is not an overkill. It is TOO slow.It Has An INTEL Celeron N2830 @ 2.16GHz And a 2GB DDR3 RAM With only 1.89GB Usable and a Windows 8.1 x64 Bit Which I Dont know why would they have a 64BIT OS In there.

My Real Question Is,How far can i upgrade the System. The CPU,RAM And The HDD.Any answers would be appreciated
Thanks 😀

Solution
https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/X553MA/specifications/
DDR3 MHz SDRAM, up to 8 G
According to Intel
http://ark.intel.com/products/81071/Intel-Celeron-Processor-N2830-1M-Cache-up-to-2_41-GHz
8 GB DDR3L 1333
For Storage
2.5" SATA
- 320GB HDD 5400 RPM
- 500GB 5400 RPM
- 750GB 5400 RPM
- 1TB 5400 RPM
First thing I recommend doing is upgrade the RAM to at least 4 GB.
This means adding one more stick of 2GB DDR3L 1333MHz RAM to make it a total 4GB.
After that upgrade to windows 10.(Windows 10 use less resource compared to windows 7 and 8.1)
The reason for 64 bit OS is to support more than 4GB RAM(The laptop can be upgraded to 8GB Maximum which is 2 stick of 4GB RAM)

What about the cpu ?

The CPU is not upgradeable I'm afraid since it is an SoC (System on Chip) meaning it is soldered to the motherboard.
The RAM upgrade should be a noticeable upgrade since there is more room for programs to run inside the memory.
Another thing I would recommend doing is uninstall any unnecessary software which comes with the laptop.
If you have any anti-virus like McAfee i recommend removing it.
Use Windows Defender instead.(Windows Defender will be enabled automatically if there is no anti-virus installed)

Thank You So Much For Your Help

There is only one memory slot on the x553ma so a complete memory exchange will need to be done also it is no easy task come complete removal of motherboard is needed to replace memory
