ASUS X555LJ Ram upgrade

CPU- I7 5500U 2.4GHZ
Ram- 8Gb
Gpu- Nvidia 920m 2gb
Storage- 1TB 5400rpm

I will be upgrading to a ssd pretty soon. I jst wanna know whether I can upgrade my ram also.
The expansion slot has 4Gb ram stick. Can I remove it and put a 8Gb one so I have 12gb or will it not work???

According to the product specification page your maximum ram capacity is Memory
DDR3L 1600 MHz SDRAM, 1 x DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 GB SDRAM so that means each slot has a capacity of 4GB each and should be of DDR3L 1600 specs i.e DDR3 running at 1.35v.

As per your SSD, pretty much any SSD can go in the space where your HDD is but you can get a HDD caddy and populate the ODD slot with an SSD as it doesn't produce much heat. Though if this is a licensed copy of Windows 10 you won't have any issues migrating to your new hardware just be sure to reinstall your OS and not clone your OS drive.
