Hi guys,

New to the forum here.

So, I have an Asus X570-f motherboard, with a Ryzen 5 3600x. I have 1 M2 3.0 and 1 M2 4.0 and just bought an Nvidia 3070.

Now, when I go to CPU-Z it's telling me that my GPU is using PCIE 4.0 x8 instead of x16.

My question is:
Is this because I have 2 M2 taking 4x each?
Also, is there a way of running both M2 and make the GPU go to 16x?

Thanks

check with gpuz or Aida.
May be its showing idle mode do a graphic benchmark and see what it shows in gpu z.
And the GPU to be install in 1st slot near to cpu socket.

Are you using any riser cable or it directly seated to pcie slot.
Try removing nvme which is near to gpu slot.
The 8x 4.0 speed is equal to 16x 3.0 so games will run fine.
Or you can manually select pcie 3.0 in Bios so it will run pcie x16 3.0 if you want to.
There are others also having this like issue may be driver or something else.

Hi.

No, i'm not using any riser cable, it's directly connected to the PCIe slot.

Yesterday, in conversation with a friend, we came to the conclusion that this has to do with the fact that I have 2 NVME M.2, which each of them takes 4x, reducing PCIe 1 to 8x and PCIe 2 to 4x

Can't seem to find any other reason for this to be happening.
