Question ASUS X570-Plus, stuck on yellow DRAM light

Just put it together the other day. It shows video, the TUF gaming screen to press F2/Delete to enter bios. Tried 2 keyboards in different USB ports with no luck. I've reset the RAM and swapped it out for known good RAM from my other PC. Tried only one stick. Tried pulling out the CMOS battery for a a couple of minutes. Still same. Can you get to that screen without posting? I'm thinking of taking the speaker from my other PC just so I can get an audible feedback for it.
Ryzen 5600, Corsair Vengeance 3600MHz, Gigabyte 3070, WD black 1TB M.2 PCIE3 are my specs. I bought everything except the 3070 over a year and a half ago, because, well I'm sure everyone knows the reason.

You probably have to update the board bios to at least 4021 for that cpu.

Would it show me the Mobo splash screen if it wasn't posting? That's the part that confuses me. If it's not posting why am I seeing the screen? I figured there would be no video. A friend suggested hunting down a ps2 keyboard but what Mobo doesn't recognize USB ports at this point?

Are you connecting the keyboard directly to the MOBO or the USB Ports of the case maybe you haven't plugged the usb jumpers correctly.

I've tried both the Mobo and case USB.

I took the speaker from my other PC and I get one short beep and then the screen. According to the manual it's not detecting a keyboard. So maybe I do need to hunt down a PS2 keyboard after all. Having to plug in a PS2 kbm in 2022 seems quaint to put it nicely.

A computer will do all kinds of wacky stuff with the wrong bios onboard for the cpu.. I would try the bios update.
