Asus x99-a Motherboard, with Nvidia gtx 970, can i add an extra 1080ti?

Hello community,
I'm so noob when it belongs to hardware parts. and I'm in need for your help.
I have a desktop with asus x99-a mobo, Nvidia gtx 970,
I want to add an extra gtx 1080ti. is that possible?
I do use my workstation for 3D motion graphics and some gaming.

thanks for the reply, I was thinking to have them both, one for render, the other one for normal use while rendering on gpu.
I'm not sure if i can use them both for rendering, have to search further in octane engage form.
