Asus x99-a motherboard is not detecting both 16gb g.skill tridentZ ddr4 3000 MHz sticks, tested individually and they both work. When both are in, the lights on both sticks turn on but one is not being detected.

Tried other ram slots, wouldn't boot, kept getting memory error. Put in old slots(c1 and d1) and now it's reading both. Guess the slot is just finicky. Had previous issue with 2 8gb sticks that it would somehow only register half a stick(instead of 8+8=16, 8+8=12) ;/
