Asus x99 Boot Time

I just upgraded to a 5930k and an Asus x99 Sabertooth motherboard. The boot time is ~20 seconds when starting the machine. Is there anything that I can do to make it boot faster?

There should be if you go into the bios and select advanced mode.

A fast boot option.
If you have not enabled it do so, it disables a few checks the bios does when the system is first powered up Mathew.

The fast boot option is enabled. There is only an SSD installed on my machine, so it is the only drive it is booting from.

20 seconds is too slow? 😀.

My laptop with a 2670QM win 7 boots in 23 seconds and I barely have enough time to get a comfortable position on my chair ....

LOL! I just upgraded from an Asus Sabertooth 990FX and the boot time was really fast compared to this x99 board.
