Asus X99-Deluxe: Installation of the Asus Hyper M.2 x4 adaptor card

Hi there.

I’am a newbie here so if I make a mistake please forgive.
I have a question with regard to the installation of the Asus Hyper M.2 x4 PCI Express adapter card. My current configuration is:

• 
  Asus X99 Deluxe v1.00
  Processor: Intel I7-5820
  16 GB ram
  Samsung 950 Pro ssd
  Running Windows 10 Enterprise

Currently the Samsung 950 Pro is installed in the onboard M.2 slot. But I would like to try if there is any performance improvement if I move the Samsung 950 Pro to a PCI Express slot by means of using the Hyper M.2 x4 adaptor card.

My questions are:
In which PCI Express slot can I put the Hyper M.2 x4 adaptor card. Will any slot be OK? I can only change the link speed in the Bios to Gen3 of the 3 PCI Express x16 slots to make use of the full performance of the Samsung 950 Pro ssd..
Or is it a must to put the Hyper M.2 x4 adaptor card in the PCI Express x4 slot.
My last question is, do I have to reinstall Windows or can I just move the card to the Hyper M.2 adaptor, activate Hyper kit in the Bios and boot.
Sorry guys for this lengthy story but I am not really a pc guru and I am getting confused of all the post on the web with regard to the Samsung 950 Pro SSD. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

The built in slots are fine, you won't see an increase. The PCIe adaptor is for boards that don't have it, or if you want more than what's on your board.
