ASUS X99-Deluxe not reading XMP profiles from Corsair DDR4 memory kit

I bought the ASUS X99 Deluxe mainboard with a CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4 2800 kit. The mainboard does not recognize any manufacturer information for these memory modules and X.M.P. cannot be enabled.

Is there a compatibility issue with the mainboard? Am I missing something?

Thank you so much for replying. This is an incredibly frustrating issue.

CPU-Z shows no XMP support at all. Here is a screenshot of the report:

Also, here is how the bios shows the XMP profiles disabled:

Hello

There is also no 2800 or 3000 profile shown in the SPD tab of CPU-Z? If that is the case somehow they must not have been programmed at the factory. See about getting them replaced.

It doesn't seem like it. Here is what CPU-Z shows in the SPD tab.

Thank you for your reply. My first step trying to troubleshoot this issue was updating to the latest BIOS. I'm currently running BIOS 0801 but it didn't make any difference whatsoever.

Hello

The UEFI issue was related to running over 2400MHz using the 100 strap. This didn't have any effect as far as reading the SPD. Below is a CPU-Z screenshot of the 2800MHz LPX I have. You need to test some other memory in your system or check your modules in a different system.

I tried setting the timing manually and set the DRAM frequency to 2800 but the system is unstable. Regardless, why doesn't the RAM even show the Manufacture ID in CPU-Z?

Thank you for the screenshot. As you can see, in mine the Manufacturer information is not even there. I just contacted Newegg and they won't accept my RMA since I discarded the memory kit packaging. This is was never an issue when buying hardware from Amazon. Needless to say, I will never buy from Newegg ever again.

Is this likely to be a problem with the memory kit? Or could it be the motherboard itself?

I actually registered as I am having issues with the exact same board and memory kit. It started with instability (running default w/ Intel virtualization enabled), I attempted to run the XMP profiles (which I have) and they were still unstable. This culminated in the BIOS and OS just no longer recognizing 16GB and falling back to 12GB. I moved the DIMM from slot to slot and have isolated the issue to a specific stick (A1, B1, C1, D1). I am not sure what to do here. I am beginning to think there may just be an issue with my memory. I am getting SPD info, but not serial numbers. See below. Also, I am running the latest BIOS. The fact that I can move the stick from slot-to-slot and see it not present in UEFI BIOS leads me to believe it is not motherboard or bent CPU and the DIMM itself.

Any ideas?

At least both Manufacturer and Part number show up for you. My memory isn't reporting either of those.

Hello

As I wrote in my reply to your post on the other forum you have a faulty stick of memory. Also these kits do not display serial number info in CPU-Z.

Hello

You're welcome. Contact Corsair regarding this.

I have the same issue here, x99 deluxe + corsair LPX 2800 DDR4, can't enable XMP profile in the bios. All 4 sticks are shown as ''unknown 4gb'' in the bios, no way to enable XMP. (BIOS was updated)

Even after the update of the Bios to 0902, i'm not able to enable the XMP profile, and the BIOS still shows Unknown 4gb 2133 MHz for all 4 slot. Is that a motherboard issue or modules issue? I need the computer for school so can't really RMA the modules...

hello did not find any solution to this topic or about this Latest UEFI build is 0902? that said i have try.Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool and i get -- Testing Processor 1 ---
