The only solution I've come up with isn't really a solution. It's similar to putting a bandaid on a severed arm. In my BIOS, I have to set everything to default settings. Once my system boots, I run the 5 way optimization in AI Suite. When my system reboots, most of the time it gets hung up before posting. The red LED on the top right of the MB comes on (memory problem), and I have to reset it. After reseting, it boots up into the BIOS since I have my reset button hooked up to the Direct pins (which I have to use quite frequently). I set everything back to default settings, save & restart, but now it boots into Windows and the 5 way optimization continues to work. It'll run a few times, and it usually ends up setting a 125 strap, set BCLK to 127.5 (it's always different, but varies between 127.5 & 126.3, sets a multiplier at 35, which gives me 4.4Ghz and approx 3000Mhz memory.
Now, I usually let my system run 24/7. If I install something and have to do a warm reset, it comes back up fine. If I ever turn my system completely off, when I turn it back on, the red LED comes back on and I have to repeat the entire process again. I've tried saving the settings and applying the settings when this happens, but it never works. Everytime I do this and run the 5 way optimization, the settings are slightly different than they were before, usually with the BCLK. Never have I been able to manually overclock the setting in the BIOS and it work unless I stick with a 100 strap, overclock my CPU, and let my memory run underclocked. I've tried changing the voltages, manually adjust the timings, tweaked it using increments of .1 on the BCLK and increments of. 01 volts on the memory, and multiple combinations, but this memory on this board must have some incompatibility issues because I've never been able to find a setting that works consistently.
I'd also like to know if anyone has this setup and doesn’t have these issues. It's very frustrating, and I'm not sure if this is an Asus problem or a Corsair problem. I just want to be able to set this thing so it works consistently. If I need to buy different memory, I will, but everything is only a few months old, and I feel like if I call Corsair about it, they'll say it's a problem with Asus and if I call Asus, they'll say it's a problem with Corsair. After trying both XMP profiles and tweaking everything imaginable under each profile, tweaking everything under a manual profile, tweaking everything under the Auto profile, there is no consistent setting to overclock my CPU and run my memory over 2600Mhz.
So, to answer your question, no. By the way, I'm running dual Nvidia 780 Tis, not AMD, so this problem exists regardless of the type of GPU.
