Hey there,
I'm building a PC for the first time and I just have some doubts about the compatibility between the parts. Also about physical dimensions.

This is the list that I've figured out:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 74.3 CFM
GPU: ASUS ROG Matrix GEFORCE® GTX 980 Ti
Motherboard: Asus X99-DELUXE/U3.1 ATX LGA2011-3
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32 GB (4x8GB) DDR4-3200
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5"
+ Probably two other 2-3TB HDDs
Case: Corsair SPEC-ALPHA CC-9011085-WW
Power Supply: Cooler Master V650 Semi-Modular Computer Power Supply

I've already tried with pcpartpicker.com to check the compatibility and got no problems, but as they say on their website, it doesn't check the physical dimensions so there are chances.

I just can't stop thinking that the graphics card isn't compatible (I just can't understand what PCI-E x16 or x8 is) or it won't fit since it's pretty big.

And also, I want to know if it's possible to put 2 of these graphics cards on this motherboard?

Can I buy another set of these exact RAMs and put them beside these so I have 64GB ? Would it work with the same speed?

Wouldn't there be any problem with CPU Cooler and the RAM slots?

I know these are a lot of questions, but I just can't have any mistakes with this!
Would really appreciate it if someone clears this up for me!
Thanks!

Solution
you should go for low profile RAM like Corsair Vengeance LPX or Kingston. mixing kits is not recommended as they might work but it's not guaranteed

PCIe x16 & x8 means how many pins are there on a PCIe lane (in that case the bigger PCIe1 x16 lane that's usually used by a video card)
your Mainboard supports up to 3 GPUs. However you didn't list any GPU.

I would eventually get a better cooler for a 5820k

may I ask what the purpose of this build is going to be?
you're doing a lot of video editing?
also: what Cooler Master PSU do you plan on getting?

Thanks for your reply!

Wow I really didn't mention my GPU? Haha, sorry, my bad, the GPU is ASUS MATRIX-GTX980TI-6GD5-GAMING

This is the PSU: Cooler Master V650 - Compact 650W 80 PLUS Gold Modular PSU

Are you saying this because of their size? I actually was going for Corsair Vengeance LPX but I didn't find any 3200Mhz in my country. I found 2400Mhz but they were a lot more expensive. Also I kind of have a bad experience with Kingston so that's why I went to G.Skill . Do you think their size will be a problem?

What CPU Cooler would you recommend?

I'm a CGI designer so it would be for 3D modeling, GPU Rendering and video editing for motion graphics.

do you already own this PSU? Because you can get a 1070 for less which will be faster, cooler, less power consuming (you could downgrade to a 550W PSU without worries) and probably cooler as well.

yes. Ripjaws V are huge! (44mm in height). I had serious issues fitting it on my board on RAM slot 2 (slot1 was out of the question, but I'm using a Z170 where the RAM is a few mm closer to the CPU)
most coolers interfere here when using RAM that's higher than 35mm. Corsair, Kingston are low profile AKA 32mm. some Crucial RAM is pretty low profile as well I think.

for CPU coolers, for that CPU I'd recommend a Cryorig H5 or a Noctua ND-14 / ND-U14S as for the increased need for cooling with such a CPU in comparison to the i5s/i7-6700

I'd actually rather to stick with 980ti because it has more Cuda cores which is more important in GPU rendering.

Seems like I'm going to search more for RAMs..

Do you see any compatibility problems with the graphics card? Or any physical issues?

Yup, it's indeed pricy. But it's the most powerful though so..

New RAM and new CPU Cooler. Thanks for your help!
