Hi,

Since the windows 10 upgrade I started to encounter frequent bsod, always the same error messages, memory and hard disk checks all came back without issue but found the cause. If I used the onboard wifi go module I would bsod with minutes of using bit torrent (confirmed this issue three times) but if I unplug the adaptor from the mainboard and just use a standard usb adaptor I don't get any issues whatsoever. All drivers are fully updated, any idea why this is happening? Naturally because windows is still picking up the wifi module on the mainboard despite the fact that the adaptor for it isn't plugged in it keeps warning me about two wireless access points sharing the same channel which I assume is because of the mainboard wifi module and the wireless usb adaptor? Just to point out that the bsod only ever happened when using bit torrent, tested with random downloads using google drive no issues, ran for a couple of hours stress testing, fine, so I don't know what is causing it as the module worked perfectly with windows 8.1. So, as I am content with using the standard usb wireles adaptor instead, until this issue can be resolved, how do I disable the onboard wifi module? I assume this will be in the bios? If so which options should I be looking for, oh and bios is updated to the latest version off asus site.

Thanks for you're time, and hopefully you're solutions.

Dave.

One thing you could try is instead of using bittorrent, give utorrent a try and see if the same thing happens... Also check asus website and see if their is a bios update for that board...

I had one for mine as well a little while back, and i am running x99 as well (msi x99 gaming 9 ack)

Unfortunately it was the bit torrent architecture itself as utorrent would bsod within minutes, other recommended clients would do the same, just not as quickly. The bios is up to date as the last revision was back in june, so until asus pull their finger out am gonna have to say bye bye to the onboard wifi, just need to know how to disable it as it is getting annoying when I keep getting windows 10 warning me that two wireless access points are sharing the same channel (never had any problems with previous windows so could just be a teething problem), which i am guessing is due to the onboard wifi module on the mainboard (even without it's wireless adaptor plugged in) conflicting with my generic usb wireless adaptor. I am not really seeing any performance degradation as my virgin 50 mb/sec connection is getting me between 6 and 6.5 mb/sec, is it better to disable the onboard wifi module, and if so how lol

My last memory dump/msinfo logs in case they help?

i would remove:
AsIO.sys Wed Aug 22 02:54:47 2012
Asus PCProbe Utility.

bugcheck was in:
Image name: bcmwl63a.sys Timestamp: Thu May 14 14:38:53 2015

i would look at your motherboard vendor and see if they have a specific version of their driver for your motherboard
