Been all over looking for a solution.

I have (5) 1070 GPUs, EVGA, 4ftw,1sc,
Currently running 2 on board with 850w psu, attempting to run 3 more with 800w psu with powered risers.

I have been able to detect 2 of the 3 outside cards before but not the 3rd. Then I had to swap the mobo for unrelated reasons and now I cannot detect the GPUs on any the risers.

Win 10 creators edition
Asus x99 deluxe
i7-5820k
corsair rm 850 psu
800w external psu on splitter
dual SSD raid 0
5 gtx 1070

Update: after much trial and error (qr d6) I have managed to get 3 of the FTWs to run, 2 on board, 1 on riser. I have a 4th card (SC) on separate power source, won't detect. I's the power supply gonna be my problem?

Hey I confuse really !!! this happen to me 3 days ago and I still couldn't find any solution !! Mine get same error d6 and between game suddenly my screen no signal and after restart 1long and 3 short beep and d6 and red led vga on!!

It seems to me that after I let my system sit for a long time it was in Windows when I came back but post took forever. On mine I have 3 1080ti on board and 2 1060 on powered risers. 1 1080ti and 2 1060 are on a separate psu... the board is finicky make sure u turn on enable 64 bit address space / encoding in bios. It's under boot options. Additionally you can try setting the risers to gen 1 on the pcie settings.

Add one card at a time and let it boot all the way then shut down and add the next.

Good luck
