asus x99 deluxe won't detect my crucial M.2

Do I need to change anything in the bios, as every time I try to reset the bios, or take the card out and in it doesn't work, I put it into the pci port using the connector supplied and it stilol doesn't work but the card does get hot, but I think this could becoming from the gpu, as it is directly above the m.2.

I have an x99 deluxe and when i go onto the pciew4_1slot it says auto, x2mode and x4 mode anyway i can get a m.2 mode?

No I just put it on the pcie card that asus sent, if that doesn't work, my best guess is there's something wrong with the m.2 card.

I tried it with the PCIE card and it still did not work. But that could be me. I got it traded in but I really hated that this happened. Asus told me it would not work after i send them a question about it.
