Hello Forum,
as the title says, my sound card "Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 PCI Express" is suddenly not working anymore.
A little bit of context: I started my PC, like i do every day, and out of nowhere, there was no sound.
When i looked into the windows sound panel to check if there was anything unusual, the sound panel was very laggy and my pc even crashed as i tried to fix this problem with the help of forums. I think i never uninstalled any realtek drivers nor have i uninstalled nvidia sound drivers.
Also, sometimes my sound panel crashes and it says that Windows-Shell-DLL is not responding or is not working (cant remember which one)
i read that deleting the onboard sound drivers through the bios could fix this issue, but i really dont know how to do that. I never had a problem with my sound card in the past. I tried to clean the inside of my PC, unplug and plug the soundcard back in. No effect. Switching the PCI slots is not an option for me, because i have no space for that. I also tried to reinstall the official Asus Xonar drivers AND tried the UNi drivers aswell. Nothing changed.
NOW however, as i restard my PC, my sound card can sometimes be detected and sometimes it is not.
I am really lost and i hope you can help me out.
I also uploaded a CPU-Z analysis in hope that it might make helping me a little bit easier.
