ASUS Xonar DSX vs ASUS Xonar D1

Hi all,

Looking at buying either one of these cards or something better if recommended. Price limit under $100.

I currently use onboard HD Audio and basically just want to know which of these will be better for gaming using headphones?

I can get a PCI-E or PCI slot ok so on that side of things it's a non issue.

Help is much appreciated.

In this price range I would go for a Creative Sound Blaster Z, best bang for your buck IMO.

I have looked at the creative range and from reviews i've read they've lost a bit of ground to asus but thanks for your suggestion i will look into this card further.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

I guess you didn't have a look at the Sound blaster Z then
I have a Xonar D1, I purchased it before the Sound Blaster Z was out, but nowadays I would definitely go for the Sound Blaster instead, it's way better.
