Hello all I hope you're having a good day. I have a quick question regarding the steps needed to use the kaby lake processor on an older z170 model. I currently just updated the bios without using a usb through the internet way of dchp (this was all through asus bios). I just wanted to know if that's all thats needed to be done in order for the i7 7700k to work right away, because I am going to sell my processor in order to help buy my new one.

Cool so I matched the bios 3802 to the most recent one on their website, meaning I'm good to go right? Just wanted to come to this forum to make sure even though it seemed pretty straight forward.

You must use the skylake processor to upgrade the bios unless its already been done.

Good to go like a crunch wrap supreme!
