So I purchased and installed an Asus z170-AR motherboard today and have had several problems. After installing components, I was able to boot into Windows 7, but it appeared as if no gpu drivers were installed. The network adapter will not allow me to connect directly to the web.
Even more oddly, the various usb ports will detect mouse and keyboard, but no flash drives, wireless adapters, ect. I read through troubleshooting and oddly was able to download the latest version of MOBO drivers (flash drive can be detected through mobo but not Windows 7). After this update I was able to see display adapters correctly, but still cannot connect to the web, and have the same limited USB port usage.
Finally, my LG DVD drive will not read the mobo instal disc properly, but was able to read the CD for my wireless internet adapter firmware(which was already installed)
Any ideas on how to fix any of these issues?

Current Specs:

Asus Z170-AR MOBO
EVGA GTX 980 Ti
Intel i5 Skylake 6600k
2 x 8 GB Crucial ballistix Sport ddr4
Razer Deathadder
Tt esports Challenger Keyboard
Fractal R5 Case
Samsung 850 evo 256 GB SSD
EVGA Supernova 850W G2 PSU

I have read though many similar guides extensively with no success, so any and all ideas are appreciated

I have problems connecting to the internet as well, with the Asus Z170 Pro motherboard. I installed Windows 10 and I plugged the Ethernet cable in. Windows won't detect a network adapter but I have installed the drivers that came from the CD with the motherboard. I cannot find any solution and it's my first computer I am building. Clueless...
