Asus z170 deluxe Q-code 62 and VGA led wont post

Hello, I'm trying to help a friend troubleshoot his new computer:
asus z170 deluxe
i5-7400
rx580
16gb ram dual channel
intel sata ssd (boot drive)
samsung sata ssd (brand new, no data)
1tb hdd (old storage)
I put the whole thing together, the mobo's bios had never been updated since bought in 2016. I went to boot up the system and the post code error 62 (not b2) showed up and the vga led turned on and stayed lit. I tried clearing the cmos, and removing the gpu/having 1 stick of ram. I still can't figure out how to update the bios correctly because I can't use the EZ tuning stuff or the bios.

You can't update the BIOS unless you have a previous Gen CPU.

I don't have one, do you think a pc shop could help us trouble shoot this?

If they have a 6th gen CPU they can assist by flashing the BIOS to the version that is compatible with 7th gen.

The board does feature the Flashback. No need for CPU to flash the BIOS. If not sure how to, post back.

I had to rename the file type on the flashdrive to "z170d" and then everything worked, it didn't like the ram until i shifted it to the b slots. Thank you guys so much for the help.
