Asus Z170-P and Samsung 970 Evo is it compatible without blocking SATA

Hi,
i have mobo Asus Z170-P
it has 4 SATA Slots, all taken (1x SSD, 2x HDD, 1xDVD)

Is Samsung Evo 970 comapatible with Z170-P without blocking SATA?

I found this in manual link

So should this mean that NVMe SSD should work without blocking ?

When you mean blocking? Physically or a Software block?

on the image form the manual, they are saying that M.2 has higher priority than SATA.
So device form Sata_2 can stop working.
And thats why i wondering if Samsung Evo will work without blocking the SATA port

Samsung 970 Evo is not an SATA device.

The warning,"When a device is installed in SATA mode in the M.2 slot..." does not apply to a PCIe device such as the Samsung Evo 970.

Oh right. Yeah like @Calvin said. The 970 is an M.2 drive. Sata is for the 2.5" SSD's you'll be fine. I was a bit confused but nothing to worry.

Im thinking of same upgrade path - could you please share what read / write speeds were you able to achieve with the 970 ?
