I have Asus Z170-P motherboard with intel i5 6500.
https://www.asus.com/in/Motherboards/Z170-P/

Want to add a NVME SSD but not sure if it will work. On asus website it say....
M.2 With x4 PCI Express 3.0/2.0 bandwidth, M.2 supports up to 32Gbit/s data-transfer speeds.

If Anyone knows whether it will support NVME of M.2 only

Planning to buy

Western Digital WD Blue NVME SN550 250GB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Internal Solid State Drive (WDS250G2B0C)

The M.2 slot on that motherboard supports both SATA & NVMe SSD:

Look at "Storage" info on the motherboard's specifications page:

(M.2 PCIe means it supports NVMe drives)
