ASUS Z170-P vs MSI B150M MORTAR

Hey, I would like to know which is one is better, because there's a promo when you buy an ASUS Z170-P you'll get the DOOM game for free. So, my question is: Is the extra 30$ for the Z170-P worth it? and is it better than the B150M MORTAR?

Go ahead and buy the Z170 motherboard.
Even if you do not plan now on using an overclockable "K" processor, you are in a position to do so in the future.

Mostly the same, your gaming is determined by the cpu and the graphics card.
One benefit of Z170 is that it has more pcie lanes so you could use dual graphics cards (which I do not recommend)

I don't wanna use dual gpu's. But if i'd go with the mortar, I had to choose the i5-6500 because there was no point to buy the I5-6600K because i can't OC, right? But if i buy the Z170 i've to go with the 6600K but i would spend almost more 100$ :\ .
What would you do?

For a mid range gamer, I suggest the i3-6100 which will usually game better.
Check benchmarks for YOUR games.
The B150 would be fine for that.
I only suggest the z170 motherboard if you have any reason to think you might want the top cpu i5-6600k in the future.

The CPU i have in mind is the i5-6500

The MSI Z170 Mortar. That way you get the B150's compact size, and the Z170's chipset for unlocked processors down the road when you decide to pick up a unlocked CPU.

That's a little bit to much that i can afford.. :| I was looking for a mobo under 100$/110$ maximum and normal sized board would be good

I didn't even notice that at first.

Just don't expect any overclocking in the future. But, no it isn't necessarily a bad choice. I was seeing if perhaps there would be a better choice with in your budget that would of been more future proof for you. If the Mortar seems like a good option and is affordable, go with that one.
