Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Changing from RAID to AHCI

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate and got everything installed. My system is running fine. I have a Samsung 850 EVO. Once I got Samsung Magician installed, I noticed AHCI Mode says "Deactivated (IDE or RAID), AHCI Mode is required for the best SSD performance". I tried using the following MS Article (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/922976) to change from RAID to AHCI, but that did not work. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks.
