Yesterday I was building a gaming pc for a friend of mine and I needed to update BIOS for the mobo to support 7th gen intel cpus. For some reason I ended up to running the ez tuning thing and then things started going south. Screen went black, I waited for ~10 minutes and tried to short the power pins to shut down the pc. It didn't work so I ended up turning my psu off and after that I can't get the pc to boot anymore. Even the psu fan doesn't spin. All the qled indicators are off which means, I believe, that everything should be fine. System power led is on and so are the other leds on the motherboard.
Currently these components are hooked up:
Asus z170 pro gaming
intel i5 6600k
1 stick of Crucial Ballistix Tactical 4Gb 2666mhz
Seasonic 620W M12II-620 Evolution
Note: cpu, ram and psu are my own and do work with my own z170 pro gaming motherboard
Here's what I have tried to solve the issue:
-All different ram configurations
-Resetting CMOS and switching the CMOS battery
-Used different ram and psu
-Switching CPU OV on and off (not sure if it does anything but anyways)
Needless to say I've had no luck so far. Please do suggest if you have some tricks up your sleeves. Otherwise I'll probably end up RMA'ing the product and paying testing fees and eventually buying a new motherboard. (And yes, my friend has my mobo now and I'd hate if he would have to pay for a new motherboard if I screwed up. I'm a true friend you know ) All help is appreciated, thanks!
