Should my default voltage really reach 1.400v at default clock speed with an average at 1.370? ( i7 6700k )

I used ASUS's own tool to check the voltage as seen in the screenshot, AIDA64 reports the same, average 1.370voltage with a max at 1440... all at stock CPU speed with no messing around in the bios aside from using an XML profile for my gskill ram.

Solution
Even if they're produced in the same batch at the same facility, no two CPUs are the same. If a CPU in a little less perfect than usual, it may require more voltage to be stable. Modern BIOS will automatically feed it more in this case.

It doesn't seem high though for stock, even if its a less than perfect chip? I mean overclocking would bring it even higher right and isn't it recommended to remain under 1.45v? :)

I found out it's the XMP profile causing the high voltage.

I switched it off and suddenly my voltage averages around merely v1080 vs v1370 before.

Is there any place to find better XMP profiles? should my gskill 3000mhz ram really eat up that much voltage?:)
