I just put together a new build with an ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming and an i7-6700k. So far it's been running like a champ, but I noticed that the power LED does not stay lit and seems to blink randomly while the system is turned on. It's almost acting like an HDD LED, however the HDD LED is connected and seems to be acting properly. (they don't blink at the same time)

This motherboard has two spots to connect the power LED leads. According to the manual they both should work the same. I get this same behavior on either of them. I've updated the BIOS to the latest version 0703.

Anyone else have this board and can comment on how their power LED is working? Maybe it's a loose connection in the case?

According to the flash graphic of the board on Asus's product info page, the two modes (still and breathing) do not stay fully lit. You can change it in the UEFI under "Led Control".

Yeah it's looking like a case issue. I plugged the HDD LED into the power LED pins on the motherboard and it stayed solidly lit. I like this Thermaltake Commander G42 case but the build quality could probably be better.

Thanks, but that's referring to some LEDs on the motherboard itself. Those are working properly.
