[SOLVED] Asus Z170 ProGaming Multimonitor Output

I have an Asus z170 with an Intel 6700k processor. My goal is to get dual monitor output using the onboard integrated graphics.

DVI is on one monitor, I'm trying to use HDMI to DVI cable that I just got today for the 2nd monitor.
For some reason the Z170 is only outputting to the DVI. If I remove DVI and just have the HDMI hooked up to the monitor there is no output.

Does anyone have experience with this issue and how to get the HDMI out working?

I figured it out, certain monitors can't accept a HDMI input on the DisplayPort unless you have an "active" adapter.
Ended up purchasing a hdmi to DVI and that works now on the monitor. I'm able now to use Intel graphics with the Z170 for dual monitors.
