asus z170 s is not compatible with Kingston HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit

recently I have bought this two items and (motherboard asus z170 s and Kingston HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit) seems memory does not fit in the motherboard, the divider part of the motherboard slot (or maybe memory cut) is around one cm away from each other. Can you tell me what shell I do? Thank you very much.

sounds like you have DDR3 when the board needs DDR4.

best thing to do is return the memory and get ddr4

Sounds like you bought DDR3 DRAM and the mobo uses DDR4 DRAM

Both of them on amazon, says they are DDR4.

Amazon has a bad habit of showing multiple sets within an ad and often DDR3 and DDR4. Wht does it show on the DRAM package and on the sticks themselves
