I have just built a pc with
a brand new setup:
16gb ddr4 ram
600w power supply
i7-6700k
240gb corsair ssd
and my asus z170 pro gaming

My problem is this, when i boot up it almost never start unless i just cleared the cmos. Ive tried almost everything and nothing works. Have taken out a ram, take away gpu, take out battery and so on. When the system boots this one special time after clearing cmos it never let me enter bios by pressing delete or f2. It comes to another display that says: American Megatrends in big text and says in the bottom: Please enter setup to recover BIOS settings.
When RAID confiquration was built, ensure to set SATA configuration to RAID mode.
Press F1 to enter setup.
When i do this i can see all my system information and everything seems to work, I cant install windows though. It will not work. Please help me if anyone knows anything i can do!

Seems quite likely unfortunately. That or just a bad bios. Unfortunately that board only has a single bios so not easy to rule that in or out. Looks like there's some capability to flash your bios using a usb without needing to actually enter the bios. I'd ask asus about that, or just RMA the board

My bios is in the latest version. I contacted asus and they had no Idea about the problem. The screen wont let me do anything except press F1 thats shown on the picture. So i cant boot up using Windows or anything like that, may the motherboard be bad?
