ASUS Z170 vs AsRock Z170

I was wondering which motherboard will be best for a i-7 6700k or a i5-6600k.
1. ASUS maximus viii hero
2.AsRock ASRock Z170 Pro4

and I'm buying a ddr4 3733Mhz 8gb ram. I am planning to play latest games on it and overclock the system.
and what's the difference between the motherboards ??

I'd go (and did ) with the Hero, great mobo! Been throwing a lot at it and it takes everything, from 290X XFire to 980 SLI, DRAM up through 48GB of 3200 (hoping to grab a 64GB set soon), OCs very well, very good detailed BIOS

Looks like you are showing up.....and actually it's kinda working....I'm becoming jealous.
by the way I also want to go with Maximus VIII Hero.....but I can save almost half price of hero if I go with AsRock Z170 Pro4.... So I want to know the difference...
and what about ASUS Z170/Z170I pro gaming ? do they have same quality as VIII Hero ?? and if don't what's the difference ??

I gave a lot of thought to going with the Pro gaming, but I've been spoiled by the first 2 models of the Hero, like the Z170 Hero they have great BIOSs for fine tuning, are very sturdy (in my systems business I throw a lot of components at my rigs, the Z170 has already had a half dozen different CPU coolers on it, have run a dozen or so GPUs, up through 290Xs in XFire and 980s in SLI, and 4 different K model CPUs (2 ea 66 and 6700Ks), think 9 sets of DRAM (as well as playing with mixing the different sticks). I think their Pro gaming will be fine for most anybody, if you plan to push things at all, give thought to the Hero

I'm also a goddamn fan of ROG.....and really Hero is also my Fav.
I want to get a Hero Alpha....but it's little bit expensive

Been looking at it also, it wasn't out when I got mine... Might be a pick for a 6700K and I could sell off the Z87 rig
