ASUS Z170A Ethernet Problem

I just finished upgrading my CPU, Motherboard and RAM and everything runs fine except the internet. When I have an ethernet cable plugged into my ASUS Z170A it will try to connect for about one second and then it will switch to saying no connections are available and it just keeps repeating this cycle. The drivers are upto date and I checked to make sure the cable works by plugging it into my laptop and I was able to get an internet connection.

Any idea what the problem could be?

I did not do a fresh install of windows, but I did install all of the necessary drivers off of Asus' website. Could not doing a fresh install of windows be the problem?

I tried your suggestion, including using the registry cleaner, but the same problem is still there. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'll give that a shot in the next few days.

trmnatr1 did you found a solution to this? I'm having the same issue with my ASUS Z170A, its really random, some times it connects and some times it says "Limited connection" I have to disable and enable the Ethernet adapter until it connects.
