Asus z170i no display output. Boot LED does not light up or blink.

When I power up, the hardware looks ok, but theres no signal output to the display/monitor at all.

The CPU and dram led blink, but not the boot device led.

Hardware:
Asus z170i mobo
i5 6600k
Vengeance 2x8gb ddr4
Samsung M.2 SSD 256gb sm961
Silverstone 450W sfx PSU
Corsair h80i liquid cooler.

I've read around and tried a few different things with no avail

I've disconnected the ssd
Installed only 1 ram stick
Checked with various HDMI cables and monitors.
PSU was taken out of a working system
I've tried clearing the RTC, and disconnecting the button battery for 30mins, before reconnecting.

I'm not the most experienced when it comes to custom builds.

Can someone please help me.

Can you post a picture of the board?
