just built new system, have power, but not turning on

I5 9400F processor
16GB G.Skill DDR4 Aegis 2400MHz PC4-19200 CL15 Single Desktop Memory Module
500GB M.2 SSD
500W Power Supply

Orange lights on Motherboard

Board and CPU are not compatible.

Welcome to the forums my friend!

The Asus PRIME Z270-P does not support the 9400F.
Unfortunately it's not just the socket that dictates compatibility.
