Hey guys, Looking for some help here.

This is my first build and Im having issues getting my motherboard to accept 3200mhz RAM.
I have updated my bios and ive enabled XMP mode, Its still only detecting 2133mhz. Ive been doing some reading and apparently the new Asus bios is having a few issues detecting RAM.

Im not really sure what else to try. Thanks in advance.

Here is my build
Asus Strix Z270E
i7 7700k
16GB TridentZ RGB 2x8GB 3200mhz RAM
GTX1080 Strix

The manual states the motherboard supports 4 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 3866(O.C.)/3733(O.C.)/3600(O.C.)/3466(O.C.)/3400(O.C.)/3333(O.C.)/3300(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory

i7 7700k supports Memory Types DDR4-2133/2400

As you can see 3200MHz is a somewhat aggressive memory speed for overclockers. Can you describe what your overclock of the Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Quad-Core 4.2 GHz currently is?

You're not looking at the right place. You are probably looking at the boot up value of the RAM.

Use a program like CPUz that shows actual operating values. The memory tab would show ~1600MHz and the timings

Or you can use a benchmark test like AIDA64 that will show the effective frequency ~DDR4-3200 and timings.
