Question ASUS Z390 A Prime VGA LED lighted but CPU works fine

Hi Guys,

Been having this issue for a month and have spent a couple of hundred on diagnostic to no avail.

VGA Led on mobo lights up on cold boot and goes away only on restart.
Same issue if no GPU is inserted.

Have updated bios, checked connection etc but issue still persist. Am curious if its GPU issue or a faulty Mobo since the LED is still there even when i boot without my GPU. Asus manual doesnt state reason for a lighted VGA LED, just mentions that its where the problem is.

My specs are as follows.

Intel I7-9700k
ASUS Z390 A Prime
GALAX RTX 2080
Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 8gb x 2
Adata SSD 500GB
Samsung Evo 2tb HDD
750W CM PSU

Hi, Apparently, board related, but since working....
You can try RMA-ing the board, if not happy with it. I'd also check the CPU socket for bent pins.

Heart from others it might be a bug. Quite a handful faces the same issue with asus mobo.

Could it be that it will be the same issue even if they replace a new mobo?

I don't think it's common… No, a new board should solve the issue.
