Question Asus z690a m2 cover

I have a Samsung m2 with a built in heat sink on it. When you remove e the m2 cover on the mobo, there is "heat sink material" foam on the bottom, and and the underside of the cover. Mobo states to reattach the cover to the mobo after m2 installation, but because of its own heat sink, the screws do not reach the mobo to reattach.

My guess is due to its own heating, it'll be fine to leave the cover off, but appreciate advice etc

The cover is meant to be used with an m-2 that does not have its own cooling. You can leave the cover off.
