Hello there
i want to upgrade my pc and from my benchmark, i think i need to upgrade ram to 16gb, and Graphics Card to something like a Gtx 1060 6gb.
Which Specific cards and ram sticks fit with my motherboard ASUS Z87-A with SLI. Would also like to know if i need to change anything else,i am also looking to buy a 144hz moniter, so the GPU must be compatible

What memory do you have installed now and what are the model numbers? Do you plan to completely replace the existing RAM with new sticks, or are you hoping to add to them?

Replacing them is the much, much better option. There are no guarantees that even identical part numbers will work with any existing modules that were not tested together at the factory. Possibly, but it's just as possible that it will not. Often, they don't, even when they are the exact same part number. There are a variety of reasons for this including simply not wanting to play nice together.

Also, often, even with the same part number, they are not the same module.

You can...
What country are you in?

If you are looking for 144hz, you want a monitor that is less than 4k. There is no way currently to have 144hz at 4k. None of the output specifications support higher than 120hz at 4k. Probably you will want a 1080p display if you plan to use a GTX 1060 and are hoping to use a 144hz display although I think you are going to run into problems with tearing on any seriously demanding titles using that GPU card unless you are willing to move a fair amount of quality level sliders to the left.

For a lot of games, you'll be fine, but for anything truly demanding you'll need to reduce settings to maintain anything near those kind of fps.

You can identify your memory modules by installing CPU-Z and looking on the memory tab. You may need to select the slots where memory is currently installed, on the memory or SPD tabs, to see the specs for those modules.

thanks, so maybe i shouldnt buy a new GPU straight away, and try with new rams first,
Looking to buy forza horizon 4, and would like to get the optimal graphics, and fps

And you are drawing this conclusion, from what? That memory sits smack dab in the middle of the supported range and type. The only problem I see is that he's running a single 8GB stick rather than 2 x4GB so he has no dual channel operation. That would offer some amount of hit on performance, but it wouldn't be all that great.

These would work great. You can get faster modules, but historical testing has shown that speeds over 1600mhz don't tend to translate to better gaming performance with DDR3. Plus, these have a fairly low latency, and are plenty fast enough even at 1600mhz. They are high quality too.

Those should be perfectly fine if they fit your budget and you are happy with the selection. I see no reason they would not.

This might be an option too, if you are able to buy from them.
