Hey all, super frustrated here... after waiting two weeks for an RMA on my last motherboard with a RAM bank issue I got an ASUS Z87 Plus.

I wish I had something fancy like a ram issue to complain about this time but sadly I can't even get it to power up. Right now I have my CPU i5-4760K (with fan) and one stick of ram slotted in the A-2 bank. Aside from that only power and the front panel power button are plugged into my MOBO. When i activate the PSU the board is receiving power (as indicated by the red boot up light on the board. however when i use the panel button or the onboard button nothing happens, at all...

CPU fan wont spin, the nothing on bios... its just DOA.

Is there something i am missing? or am I facing yet another few weeks with no computer =(

Solution
Take the two connections off the motherboard power on pins and briefly short the pins with a small metal object (like a screwdriver) to test your case switch and wiring.

You can also test your PSU by using a paper clip and shorting pins 16 and 17 (a green wire to a black wire -- don't mess with the red or yellow wires!). The green is the power on wire and black is ground -- if it is okay the PSU will turn on normally.

Solution
As it turns out.... ASUS was kind enough to ship the mother with the CMOS clear jumpers not affixed to the board....
lets just say problem solved.... and I feel like an idiot. Thanks for taking the time to help me trouble shoot though =)
