ASUS Z87 Pro, what does 26 mean?

Hi, today I shut down my computer after it seemed a bit slow and tried to turn it on but there was only a black screen. So, I tried going to BiOS and resetting to defaults and that didn't work. The BIOS only came up every few times I power-cycled. So I figured there might be a problem with the RAM, and I removed the RAM cards (2) and just put one in to see if there was only a problem with one of them.

Now, the motherboard has "26" on its LED and won't say anything else. I looked in the manual, and it doesn't say 26 specifically, but 26 falls in a range that denotes "initiating RAM". After letting it initiate for an hour, nothing has changed. Just 26.

How can I fix 26?

Thanks for replying. I've used the jumper to clear the CMOS and tried different memory mod but it still just says 23. Also, I can't press "del" because the motherboard isn't delegating USB power to peripherals. Anything else you can think of to do?

For anyone having the same problem, the RAM wasn't actually pushed in far enough. You really have to use a lot of force to get it in. Try laying the board down on a flat surface and use your palm to push it in until it clicks into place.

hi!

I am also having the same problem.
Flashing q-code between 24.25 and 26 quickly.
And on the screen nothing happens.

details:
1- CPU-led always lit in red !!
2- Sometimes the q-code lock on number 14. (sometimes when I restart my cpu).
3 - If left on for more than two hours, suddenly restart and boot with option to access the bios and run the boot in my hd-ssd. CPU-led turn off at motherboard and Windows operate normally. But if I turn off the computer or restart, it happens all over again.

Have tested:
1 - New Battery.
2- Clear CMOs. reset bios.
3- I checked all the plugs, memories DDR-3. Everything ok. I just suspected of slightly bent pins. the socket. Looking up to the light you can see. but very insignificant.

What up? what I do?

Is it bent pins?
Because after a while it starts normally?
It could be some setting I'm not doing and save the bios?

If you're really having the same problem as me, your issue is that the RAM isn't actually pushed in far enough. I thought that if I pressed it in anymore, the motherboard would break, but it wasn't actually fully connected. Hope that helps.
