Hi
I'm having trouble with my new build using a Asus Z97-A.
I've removed all non essential connections from the motherboard.
So right now, connected to the mobo is the case & CPU fans, 2 ram modules, 1 SSD, 1 optical drive & a wifi card.
USB, power buttons etc are all disconnected.
This issue I'm having is instability in windows. With a fresh install with only the wifi card driver installed, explorer will randomly restart. With firefox installed it also randomly crashes/restarts. If I try to complete windows updates I can have a number of randomly selected issues on the restart section. Freezing on the desktop, mouse/keyboard non responsive, restarts straight after starting windows.
I need help to definitely confirm its a motherboard issue, can anyone suggest an additional tests I can run. The Ram & the SSD are brand new and a few tests have been run on them including Memtest86.
Any help would greatly appreciated
SPECS
CPU: i5 4690k
Ram: 2x 4GB Corsair Vengence (LP)
SSD: Samsung EVO 128GB
PSU: EVGA 750w (Supernova G2)
