Hello,
I'm helping my friend put together his PC. We are experiencing a stop and start with attempting to POST the PC. The red CPU_LED light flashes when we power up.
After trouble-shooting I have found only this....
When the CPU plug is disconnected from the MOBO the GPU works as does the CPU cooler fan and case fan. However, once I plug the 8 prong CPU cord in it gets the stop-start and red CPU_LED light.
I have tried multiple things to attempt to fix the issue and nothing has worked:
1. We have replaced the MOBO and CPU with brand new ones (ASUS support recommended.)
2. I have swapped my PSU that I have on my PC with his PSU and still get the same exact issue.
3. Tried different RAM slots, no RAM.
4. Bare minimum MOBO powered up with no extensions plugged in.
