asus z97-a motherboard not booting freeDOS page

i hit enter to boot my windows 8.1 disc that came with the motherboard and it says booting................... and then it comes up to this dumb Wecome to FreeDOS page and i cant do anything past that point. someone please help, ive searched everyhwere
