So I moved my rig into a Corsair 540 a few weeks ago and everything was gravy. Then yesterday I left my computer running for a little bit while I did something else. I came back and moved my mouse to wake up my PC and nothing. Hit keys on keyboard and nothing. No LEDs on my mouse or KB were on. But the PC was running still. Fans going, LEDs on.

So hit the reset button and the PC turned off, then back on for a bit, then back off, and back on. Hit the power switch in the back of the case on the PSU and waited for a minute and tried again. Nothing. So I inspected it and saw that the DRAM_LED was steady on. I hit the MEM_OK button and the PC restarted, the DRAM_LED was blinking and increasing rates every few seconds going through the checks, and then it just started doing the start and stop thing again.

Eventually I found out that I can't have any RAM seated in slots 3&4. Slots B1 or B2 on my MOBO. I can run both sticks in 1&2 and both sticks work fine on their own. Checked my CPU socked for bent pins, really didn't see anything wrong.

I tried loosening my CPU cooler block, tightening it, loosening my MOBO mounting screws, tightening them, blowing out the RAM slots with compressed air, cleaning the RAM sticks themselves, nothing.

I did have my system OCed with Asus' AI tweaker, but after getting my system to load with on stick of RAM, I reset my whole BIOS to default. Did not fix the issue.

So am I going to have to buy a new board? I'd rather just buy a better one now and not have to deal with RMAing this POS.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Don't have any other CPU's laying around. Is there anyway to make sure it's the mobo without having to have another CPU?
