Hello everyone...

For a few month my PC hasn't been powering. But it's been random like if I push the power button 3-4 times it would power up. Now it doesn't power at all (can't get pas POST). I tried changing the RAM. Still VGA Led on. Removed Graphic card. VGA Led still on. Bought a new PSU. VGA Led still on with the new PSU. Now I think all that is left is replace the mobo... :( Any other Ideas? I'm a student so replacing the mobo is a hard blow financially :( All my parts aren't even 1 year old.

After about 50 tries I think I've seen it pass the VGA led twice. But it's random.

Thanks for helping out.

Here's my system :

Alright so this is what i think;

1. Re-build the PC to the letter with your motherboard manual

2. Mobo replacement being a hard financial hit? MSI Z97 PC Mate for £65...Boom (What I use)

3. Stock cooler? yucky...Hyper 212 Evo, lots of cooling for your CPU but you mentioned finances...so...poop (Again what I use)

4. By the sounds of it, it sounds like a dodgy I/O port so "Take A Closer Look At That I/O connector that plugs into the mobo (ah...memes)

But yeah other than that if you have checked the connectors and its fine or buggered then give it a couple more boots and see how far you get...out of interest do your fans switch on at all?

Also what do you mean by VGA LED? On your monitor?

So far I think this is looking...

So far I think this is looking like a mobo replacement unfortunately :'(

Thank you for the help!

I actually did number 1. Yea all the fans turn on. I added two pictures. It is the VGA Led on the motherboard that is red. If I buy a new mobo I'll probably buy a better cooler as well.
